(More customer reviews)Just received this ice carpet, and the weather is such that I haven't been able to test it yet.It does look like a fairly good product, and has little odor -- always a nice touch. It also doesn't seem to shed much like many door mats, which can be messy. I can't verify that it will not tend to slip on ice, since even rubberized products, when cold, may be risky. I'm going to err on the positive side and give it 4 stars. The reason for the early review however is to caution buyers that this picture on the Amazon site is quite misleading. My impression was (from the picture) that I would be getting a long strip of something like jute doormatting . . . i.e., with a positive tread like straw. What this product actually is, is flat and thin, and somewhat smooth ... very "pressed." Most catalogs I've seen this in have included a painted picture, not a photo. With the picture, you really can't tell for sure what it's like. But this Amazon photo that has been obviously retouched is quite misleading -- it looks purposely like a jute doormat material. Not happy about that ...Hopefully the performance will be good regardless. If not, I'll supplement this review later on in the winter.
