(More customer reviews)From my experience using this product, I can say that it did the work for me. It didn't burn my lawn because I followed the spraying instructions on the bag. It helped my lawn during a very rough winter...the only negative I would say is that the weed control doesn't seem to work well at all. It might help a little, but the weeds will continue to grow, no doubt about that. If you are interested in keeping your lawn green and healthy, you might want to go for the WinterGuard with no Weed Control, and then use something more effective against the weeds; it will also save you a lot of money. Overall, it is a good product, but not great. Does its job, nothing special about it; that is why I rated it 4 stars.

(More customer reviews)...though I haven't had many vacuums. This vacuum, as far as I can tell, has excellent suction that picks up all my pet hair (I have two long-haired Maine Coons) and the pet-paw attachment is fantastic for furniture, pillows, the cat tree, etc.
The "self cleaning" duster attachment, however, sucks; it's easier to clean the duster with the hose than with the special chamber they built for it. Also, the lever they installed to direct the suction to the duster-chamber broke off recently and I can't even superglue it back on because of the kind of plastic it's made of.
For the price I paid ($130 at Walmart), great vacuum though I suspect it won't last many years like a more quality one might.

(More customer reviews)I had originally bought a Mohawk shag rug at Target, and it was a rather sparse shag, but still ok for the inexpensive price. It met a horrible end in a toilet leak accident, and I had to replace it. I assumed this would be the same rug. I ordered the 5'x8' from seller Spectrumrug, because they were much cheaper than Target. When I received it, I thought they had incorrectly listed the rug. It was not the same as the one I had before, but rather about 200 times nicer. The rug is so thick and plush, it's like having a square of top quality carpet under my feet.
The rug I received is the rug in the picture. Some people seem to have received the same rug I got, and others who complain about color and smell seem to have gotten the one that I originally had from Target. The rug I got from Amazon is definitely tan. The one I had before is the neutral off-white color.
I don't know what you'll get if you order, or if SpectrumRug is selling a different rug than Target. But the rug I received is very thick, plush and a warm tan color. I'm very happy with it.

I can't believe the volume of dirt this thing pulled out of my carpets after they had been cleaned with the Oreck. It is heavier than the Oreck, but the complaints that it's "too heavy" are exaggerated. I also have had no trouble using the attachments. The trick is to completely extend the flexible hose one time. This keeps it from wanting to drag the base unit after you. The overall industrial design is great although I find the placement of the power button a little quirky. Small price to pay. I'd buy it again.

(More customer reviews)I loved this vacuum for three months. It picked up pet hair dander and dust better than most. I babied the machine, cleaned out the dust container mid use and washed the filters and dust cup after each use. Then it happened, a loud noise a small amount of smoke and the belt had snapped, the brush mount melted and the housing destroyed (from the melted brush mount). Eureka representatives said the part that failed was not under warranty and has refused to replace or repair my relatively new vaccum. They even said it was my fault for not keeping it at a high enough setting for my carpet (I keep it on the highest setting). It would have cost me more to repair than replace the machine. I have had great luck with Eureka products in the past but with their response (or lack thereof) I will not buy a Eureka again. Do yourself a favor and don't buy a Eureka Altima.

Unable to find a way to get the "free" mop covers for the unit online, I bumped into this item and found that it seemed much more versatile, for less than what the Shark is selling for. The unit can be used to clean just about anything, while the Shark mop is strictly a floor mop. I had missed the Scunci Steamer I had, which conked out after just about a year of very light use. Very dissappointing. When it worked, it did a great job, but it was not a floor cleaner. This SF-290 is better than both the Shark and the Scunci, for my purposes, because it does everything. I have a one bedroom apartment, and it cleans everything in it just fine. My kitchen floor has never been cleaner, and there is no sticky residue or chemical smell; just clean and fresh. I can freshen the carpeting, and it even removed some stubborn stains that I could not get out, no matter how much scrubbing I'd done. I freshen the furniture as well, which is great to combat my allergies. I don't know if a unit this small would work in a large house, but for a smaller area, it works great! A tip is to turn the mop cover inside out and use it on the other side before washing it. You can also remove it, rinse it out and continue using it for a time. I ordered additional Bissell mop covers, since I figured one would not be enough.

The motor on the razor slows down everytime it had to cut something, causing it to barely work. The casing for the shaver is badly put together and feels like it is going to fall apart any second. The end of the handle where you insert the batteries is weak and could easily break, causing your batteries to be stylishly taped in. I would never purchase this product again. A plug-in shaver may be a better purchase.

I feel that it sweeps great and works well in open areas as well as cleaning under Furniture. It also a great way to great multi task; you just it on and let it go and then you and do something else. Cleans great on carpet and hard floors. There are some down sides to this vacuum. It takes a long to sweep and it always seems to miss something on the floor. It would be a lot faster to use a normal plug in vacuum to sweep and a lot of times you will have to go back and sweep places that the vacuum missed. But still it's cool to say I have a robot that cleans.
So all in all if you get this vacuum as a gift I think you will like it. If you buy it I don't think you will feel that you're getting your moneys worth.
