And about a month later the wee-ing commenced; near the front door, by the laundry room door, up against the wall near their litterbox. The vet said no UTI's, and that it was probably a territorial issue (and perhaps a bit of new-house adjustment with the front door wee-ing.)
Things got so bad that I seriously considered finding them a fostering home! I tried Nature's Miracle (so-so for *these* hideous stains, but great for cat hairball stains), a Bissell SpotBot (pretty good for all stains except in-the-corner/against-the-wall cat wee) and several other stain remover products. No real luck, the scent (and black-light "glow") always remained.
Picked this up at a retail discount store and figured why not...and it's a miracle! The wee-scent is completely gone from the rooms! And when I sprayed it on fresh stains while holding a black light to the rug (so I could make sure I didn't miss anything), the stains went *poof* -- gone!
Yes, this is sold as an odor remover. But it's done wonders for removing the stains on my carpets as well. I may pick up their other product, the actual stain remover.
May this company NEVER go out of business; thanks to them I can keep my kitties!!!
