(More customer reviews)I purchased this rug for my dining area, to protect the hardwood floors from the wear and tear of my dining table and chairs. It really looks beautiful!! However, literally the second I set one of my chairs on it, which has plastic feet on the ends of the legs, it scratched the rug. I now have found myself super glue-ing felt pads to all of my chairs and table legs to protect the rug that's protecting the floors, from the chairs. It didn't take long before it was full of scratch indentations from my dogs' claws too, so I wouldn't recommend it if you have big dogs. I also have toddlers, and the first time one of them rode his little plastic riding toy across this rug, an 8" long splinter chipped off of it. I've had a couple more big splinters come off since. All in all, I love the look of this rug and the idea behind it, but I'm doubtful that it'll keep looking nice for long. I'd return it but I really feel like I'm stuck with this as my only option to protect my floors without having to get out a vacuum after every meal like a traditional carpet rug.
