(More customer reviews)Our oak wooden steps going down to the basement were getting harder for our dog to maneuver so we decided on carpet treads. After doing some research, we decided on the ones from Dean's Flooring, (through Amazon) in the trellis beige design. I wanted them to stay put but was hesitant about gluing or even taping them to our stairs so I just wiped each oak stair tread with a wet cloth and then laid the carpet tread immediately down; they've stayed still pretty well as they have the light rubber backing on them. Oh, once in a while if you don't step dead center on the carpet tread it will move slightly but so far it hasn't been a problem. The only thing is that they come in a package of 13 and we have 14 stairs.
